SAG Awards 2013

While the SAG Awards are no Oscar's (Sidenote: We have less than a month for the Oscar's and I am going to remind you everyday.) or Golden Globes, they still hold a special place in my heart. None of the gowns in particular really wowed me, they all had a very similar silhouette, but I managed to pick favorites nonetheless. Eek I love awards season so much it's actually stupid. Only it's not stupid, it's actually really awesome.
I am so happy about everything going on here. Didn't I tell you Jessica Chastain would turn things around and put herself back on the Best Dressed Lists? Yep, I did. And she did. She looked stunning in this Alexander McQueen dress. I really love everything about it.
I am dying/dead over Naomi Watts' gorgeous Marchesa gown. I adore it. I love me some Marchesa any day of the week and it fits her perfectly.
My third Best Dressed of the Night goes to Amy Poehler, for once. She looked gorgeous in this Zuhair Murad gown. It definitely made up for her tux fiasco at the Golden Globes. She looks great, I hope somewhere Will Arnett is crying over her. I'm really bitter they are getting a divorce, in case you couldn't tell...
The more I see Jennifer Lawrence's Christian Dior dress, the more it's growing on me. I think what I don't like about it, is that it looks like more fabric was just sewn onto the bottom. The color looks great and her hair looks great too, so she can go on my Honorary Best Dressed List. Plus, being my future BFF, I have to be supportive of all her fashion choices.
I am actually taking Marion Cotillard's horrible outfit as personally offensive. She is SO much better than this Christian Dior gown. I don't like any piece of it. Okay, I like the blue color, but there is too much material and I hate the top of it. But, on a positive note, her makeup is flawless and I am kind of dying over her new cute little bob. Tres chic, Marion.
Jennifer Garner looked stunning in this Oscar de la Renta gown. I have no complaints, other than I kind of wish she had saved this for the Oscar's because everyone knows, when you wear a gold dress, it brings good luck. Not that her hubby is going to need it because "Argo" seems to be winning everything.
Ugh. This is partially upsetting to me. Y'all know of my undying and unrealistic dream of having Tina Fey adopt me. Her Oscar de la Renta gown is wonderful, but I am so so so so SO confused about her hair. This is how my hair looks when I wake up and that, my friends, is not great.
Anne Hathaway has been so incredibly bothersome to me as of late and I don't even know why. But instead of complaining about her, I'll say "Congratulations on your win" and I think I might kind of like this Giambattista Valli Couture gown. I think it would've worked better on someone like Carey Mulligan, but I mean, whatever.
This is actually a hot mess. I think Julianne Moore is gorge and you (mostly) can't go wrong with Chanel, but somehow this went terribly wrong. The top half does not fit her and it makes her boobs look saggy, which is actually the worst thing ever. I'm so sad for her and her boobs.
Well, Rose Byrne looks like a permed jellyfish in this Valentino gown. Now, I like jellyfish and I love Valentino, but together this is not working.
I'm upset that I don't like Amanda Seyfried's Zac Posen gown more. People were trying to talk me into liking it, but the necklace is really ruining the entire look for me. It is really distracting and I'm not a fan. The color looks perfect on her though and I love me a Zac Posen train always.
I was so confused as to why the "Glee" cast was there but then I remembered that 1. They are members of SAG and 2. Some people actually still watch the show. I don't know why... Anyway, I really hate everything about Naya Rivera's boob mesh. This Donna Karan Atelier gown has potential to be gorgeous, but the boob mesh is horrid.
Can we be real for a second? Despite what everyone on the Internet (and in life) says, I actually really like Lea Michele still. Do I like her Valentino gown though? Not entirely. It looks slightly unfinished to me, but I respect her efforts and the fact that she favors large gowns because I think they are highly ignored.
Real talk, I forgot Jayma Mays was a thing. I don't really like her Georges Hobeika Couture gown. It's really boring, which is a shame. If you are a slightly forgotten celebrity, shouldn't your one goal (besides winning) at an awards show be to steal the heart's of the people? Evidently Jayma did not get that memo.
This is upsetting because I was just raving about how great Kerry Washington has been looking, but I'm really not a fan of this Rodarte gown. What you can't see in this picture, is that it had a tail of lace coming out of the back that made it look like toilet paper was sticking out of the dress. I mean, I adore lace, but not like that.
Even when Nicole Kidman is nominated, I'm always like "Wait, why is Nicole Kidman there?" It's an ongoing battle, which shows no signs of slowing down. Her Vivienne Westwood gown isn't the worst thing ever, but I still don't like it. Sigh. What am I going to do with you, Nicole?
I just put Justin Timberlake here because he's so pretty. Look at how pretty he is!
